WELCOME TO THE NEW TENNIS SEASON
which we hope will be sunny, successful and fun

ADULT CLUB SESSIONS will once again be held on Thursdays from 6pm and Sundays from 2pm.

FIRST SUNDAY CLUB AFTERNOON will be April 1st at 2.00 

SENIOR MEMBERS We have a new membership category for Senior members (aged 65 and above) that will allow use of the courts on weekdays up until 3:30pm.

WEEKDAY CLUB SESSIONS will be organised on Tuesday mornings (9:30 – 11:30) and Thursday mornings (10:00 – 12:00)

JUNIOR  COACHING will once again be organised on a Saturday mornings from 10:00. As before, this will be free for Junior Club Members from Year 1 up to (& inc) Year 8. More details will be sent out in early April.

ADULT COACHING SESSIONS for members (men and women) will be held on Monday evenings from 6pm. These will be 1 hour sessions with full details being sent out soon.

COURT USE Any member (adult or junior) may play with other members whenever courts are not in use for club sessions, matches or other events without the need for booking. Match times and events will be posted on the club notice boards and the website. Members must remember that there is etiquette when all courts are in use and there are players waiting. We have a first on first off policy. The players first on must only finish their set or a maximum of 30 minutes before coming off court. The exceptions being matches or coaching. 

VISITORS may play with any member for a fee of £3. There are envelopes in the clubhouse in which to put the visitors fee. Three visits by one guest is permitted before a full subscription should be paid.  

MATCH PRACTICE SESSIONS  will be held on Tuesday nights from 6:00 from March 27th until May 1st when matches start. These are open to anyone wishing to play in any of the mens or ladies teams. For more details look on our website or contact us (details below). 

FAST FOUR LEAGUES Following on from the success of last year’s singles leagues we will be doing them again this year. Starting in April, details will be sent out in March.

COURT PADLOCKS   This season the padlocks on the court gates and the clubhouse will be changed. Keys will be issued free of charge to existing club members. Keys for new members are available for £3. 

SPORTS & SOCIAL CLUB   All members and families of the tennis club are members of the Sports & Social Club.  Do use and support this facility

SHOWER   There is a shower in the disabled toilet in the pavilion available for our use…Accessible through main door of pavilion.

COURT CONDITIONS  The courts are our most important and valuable asset and it is vital that they are kept in good condition.

We are still awaiting a confirmed date for professional court cleaning. Once confirmed, details will be posted on the website as well as around the courts to keep everyone informed of when the courts will be out of use.

PREPARE COURTS AND CLUBHOUSE FOR THE NEW SEASON   On Saturday March 24th at 10am (if wet Sunday 25th) we will be sprucing up the courts and clubhouse. The more volunteers we have the more we can achieve. If you can spare some time, however short or long, please just come along. We will have some equipment but if you can please bring appropriate gardening and cleaning gear.

WIMBLEDON TICKETS   This year we hope to once again get pairs of tickets that you could win the chance to purchase through our club ballot. As yet we are unsure how many pairs we will get and when, and which court, they will be for. As per the email that was sent out to all members in February, all club members that were registered to the club on the LTA website and opted in to the Wimbledon ballot on 23rd February will be automatically entered in to the club draw. The draw will take place on Sunday April 29th during the Friendly Tournament (you don’t need to be there to have your name pulled out). More details will be emailed out in April.
