Junior Coaching

As part of our continued commitment to junior development in 2026, Hemingfords Lawn Tennis Club is proud to offer a fun, inclusive, and progressive junior coaching programme on Saturday mornings.

Our sessions are designed to help children of all abilities build confidence, develop core skills, and enjoy tennis in a supportive environment.

🎾 What will the coaching involve?

Our programme provides structured technical and tactical coaching, helping players progress from basic skills through to match play.

We follow the latest LTA Youth Tennis pathway (Red, Orange, Green, Yellow), ensuring:

• Age-appropriate equipment and court sizes

• Clear progression routes

• Regular feedback and development milestones

Sessions are delivered by James Stevens, a qualified, DBS-checked coach, in a safe and encouraging setting.

📅 Programme Structure (2026 Season)

Our main junior coaching programme runs from May to September 2026 on Saturday mornings.

Saturday Sessions:

• Ages 5–10: 10:00 – 10:45

• Ages 11+: 11:00 – 12:00

We aim to deliver a minimum of 12 sessions (maximum 15), with flexibility built in for weather or unforeseen disruptions.

The summer sessions will be on the following dates:

We’ve kept our programme affordable and flexible:

Junior Members:

• £4 per session

• £40 for full programme (best value)

Non-Members:

• £7.50 per session

• £75 for full programme (best value)

Membership:

• Junior Membership: £40 per year

• Parent/Guardian Add-on: £20

• Family packages available

We group players by age and ability to ensure the best learning experience.
